Shelly-Ann Gajadhar, our CEO and founder of Alphastute is an Attorney at Law and PhD Candidate at King’s College London. After spending three years as a State Prosecutor in Trinidad and Tobago, she chose to diversify her career from law to business. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Distinction in International Business and Emerging Markets and co-founded a sustainable start-up, One Memoir, which featured in the Royal Bank of Scotland Entrepreneurial Spark Incubator Hub.

Presently, as a Doctoral Candidate at King’s College London she teaches courses related to Organisational Research Methods and International Business. Her recent research on technology and knowledge transfer in Trinidad and Tobago’s construction industry has been published in the Social and Economic Studies Journal and has been presented at both local and international academic conferences.

At the College, she sits on several University committees most notably, the King's Business School Advisory Council and, holds the post of Application Advisor with the Careers and Employability arm of the College, providing CV and job application advice to undergraduate and postgraduate students across diverse subject areas. Her passion for human capital has seen her simultaneously undertake a Diploma in Career Information and Advice (incoming), successfully complete Strategic Leadership at Harvard University Extension School all whilst pursuing her Doctorate in innovation and knowledge exchange.

In her spare time, Ms. Gajadhar freelances as a mentor and acts as a School Governor and Career Link for Ark Evelyn Grace Academy, Brixton London which caters to predominantly Afro-Caribbean students. Her interests include innovation systems, research, entrepreneurship and law and her experiential influence has seen her work with various stakeholders such as senior executives, entrepreneurs, academics and law enforcement officials.

Her life motto is: “Anything your heart desires can be achieved but, it does not only require you to think. It takes both the intellectual and intuitive mind to get you to your preferred destination”.

MEET THE TEAM

Nikeisha Rojas is our Executive Assistant and hails from the beautiful twin island of Trinidad and Tobago.

 She started her early professional years in Trinidad as a high school teacher at the Sangre Grande Educational Institute and has had experience in the pageantry world winning titles such as Miss Teenage Trinidad & Tobago 1999, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Queen 2006 and selection as a finalist of the Miss Trinidad and Tobago for Miss Universe and Miss World Pageants of 2006. 

Over the last thirteen (13) years of her professional life she has acquired a wealth of knowledge across the Private and Public Sectors. Having held several key support and supervisory positions over the years, Nikeisha has worked closely with several successful and reputable Executives and Boards of Directors in areas such as Insurance Services and Wealth Management at Guardian Holdings Limited; Communications and Industrial Relations at the Ministries of Public Administration and Public Utilities; Compliance and Corporate Governance at Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Limited (TATIL); and at present, Real Estate, Intellectual Property and Legal Support Services with the ANSA McAL Group of Companies. 

She also holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Sunderland, is a member of the the Association of Business Executives and is currently pursuing Law. 

In her free time, Nikeisha volunteers her time to assist those in need of legal advice by sourcing free/discounted and reliable legal representation for them. Some of her other interests include: UN volunteerism, cultural promotion, youth development, public speaking, debating, writing, beauty culture, health and fitness. 

Her Life Motto is:
